The ONLY advantage the AK holds over the ar15/m16 platform is its ability to work without cleaning, ever. The ar15/m16 isn't some constantly jamming gun; it just needs a swab every few days. Reason why G-36 is relatively unknown is that it wasnt greatly used due to nature of the missions the soldiers that have them participate in. It's lots more reliable then M-16 and even comes close to AK, highly accurate, has standard folding stock and little recoil. Any more questions?
